While most other window film companies buy their polyester from
someone else, 3M makes its own polyester in Decatur, Alabama. During
this process, 3M patented a technology for producing its own nano-carbon
polyester. This revolutionary and unique process, allows for maximum
heat rejection without metals, which can interfere with radio and/or
satellite signals. It also gives our films a beautiful neutral black
look with unpararell color stability. Never before has anyone done this.
In fact, it's so advanced that in time-based tests, 3M Color-Stable Auto
Film held its color while most conventional dyed films rapidly changed

Color Stable CS5
Color Stable CS20
Dark Color-Stable film is designed primarily for
the automotive market where a lower visible light transmission film
is desirable and allowed by state law. CS-20 allows 16% of visible
light through the glass. It rejects heat, reduces glare and retards
interior fading.
Color Stable CS35
Color Stable CS50
Light Color-Stable film is designed primarily for the
automotive market where a high visible light transmission
film is desirable and allowed by state law. CS-50 allows 51%
of visible light through the glass. It rejects heat, reduces
glare and retards interior fading.
Vindu skal være tilstrekkelig solid og godt gjennomsiktig fra begge
sider. Det må være slik utført at gjenstander som sees gjennom det ikke
blir forvrengt. Det samme gjelder for vindskjerm som fører skal se
gjennom.
Som solfilter godtas svakt farget glass som ikke gir større reduksjon av
lysgjennomslipp enn angitt i den amerikanske standarden ASA Z-26.1 -
1966, July 15 1966. Andre former for solfilter som f.eks. påsprøytet
eller påklebet film tillates ikke på noen del av vinduene som fører skal
ha sikt gjennom (frontvindu og sidevinduer foran).
Utrykningskjøretøys blå lys skal i alle tilfelle kunne ses gjennom
bakvindu i motorvogn hvor innvendig speil kreves.
